Original stories
Sonic the Hedgehog · The Great Escape! Part 2 #
Spotted inside a Metropolis Zone Badnik Processing Plant, the Freedom Fighters drop any pretence of stealth and fight their way free. Sonic, Johnny and Amy clear the Trooper guards while Porker and Tails ready an escape route through a side door. Sonic lashes the Crocodile Overseer with the villain's own whip, then herds the captive Emerald Hill folk into the waiting room. With everyone packed inside, the Star Post capsule launches them clear of the plant.

Kid Chameleon · Back to Unreality! Part 3 #
Still wearing the Juggernaut helmet, Casey smashes through Midnight Graveyard undead and skips the guarded gates by blasting a hole in the wall. A jungle telepad drop ends badly when he plunges off a cliff and loses the helmet in the water. Washed up on a shore, he wakes to find slave-takers binding him — and their leader is Brad.
Script: Michael Cook · Art: Brian Williamson, Steve White · Letters: Tom Frame
Knuckles · Total Chaotix, Part 4 #
Metallix robots hold Robotnik's Special Zone Egg Fortress and have seized the Omni-Viewer. Emperor Metallix dispatches a drone as Knuckles and Chaotix push a rescue. Inside, Espio and Mighty nearly scrap over a tripped alarm before Charmy warns a Metallix is coming; they duck into the vents, only for Nack to kick a grate and give them away. The robot floors four of the team under rubble — then Knuckles climbs free and promises the tin-head will remember his name.
Script: Nigel Kitching · Art: Richard Elson · Letters: Elitta Fell
Reprinted in issue 182.
Sparkster · Last of the Rocket Knights! Part 4 #
Gedol's corruption spell still holds Elhorn, and Princess Shelly is already bound for a forced wedding. Sparkster and two briefly freed royal guards race for the tower that houses the spell's source, but the magic thickens until he locks his allies away rather than risk another betrayal. Alone, he downs the tower guards with suspicious ease and finally stares into the multi-faceted jewel powering Gedol — just as Shelly reaches the church altar.
Script: Nigel Kitching · Art: Keith Page · Letters: Steve Potter
