Sonic the Comic #75

Issue overview
A young Mobian called Smokey befriends a Roller Badnik inside a condemned leisure centre. Sonic's pursuit of a robot there makes Smokey and the Badnik an unusual story about friendship across Robotnik's machinery.
Original stories
Sonic the Hedgehog · Smokey and the Badnik #
Young Smokey sneaks into the condemned Metropolis East Leisure Centre to meet his friend - a Roller he simply calls Badnik. Sonic arrives hunting the machine; Troopers interrupt, Smokey hides inside the Roller, and Sonic nearly smashes it as an organic-battery kidnap until Smokey leaps out and stands between them. Next morning Smokey tearfully tells Troopers Sonic destroyed his friend - then slips into an alley where Badnik waits, suddenly able to speak because nobody ever asked.

Knuckles · The Ghost Ship, Part 2 #
Knuckles lifts the Floating Island above the clouds so Plunder can spot the Ghost Ship, then demands the Island plans Plunder claimed to hold - plans the pirate says are safe in Scourge Bay. Knuckles zipwires after the crew, Filch lifts the golden Tantaragor Idol, and Plunder's slip about them returning proves true: huge golden Tantaror seize the ship and mean to make the pirates slaves.

Shining Force · The Curse of Zeon, Part 3 #
Max teleports Bowie, Taya and Zynk to the aeroplane before Kadavaar's blade falls, insisting they learn Zeon's plan while Zeonites elsewhere claim the dig's guns. After a six-hour flight to Hassan they are flattened by centaur Chester, who stops only when Max's image speaks from Bowie's sword and names Chester's grandfather. Max welds the four into a new Shining Force.

Tails! · Fox on the Run, Part 3 #
Fleabyte's heat scanner falters in the warmth as Tails and Tantrum plummet toward lava too tired to fly. Grabber Badniks rescue them for dinner, bicker over the menu, and lose their meal; the pair find a surface chute, Tantrum stamps a hidden button, and crushing walls force a desperate upward flight. They clear the shaft - straight into Fleabyte's oversized gun.
