Original stories

  1. Sonic the Hedgehog · Power of the Chaos Emeralds, Part 1 #

Imprisoned Robotnik intimidates Porker until Knuckles bursts through the floor to free him, still sure Sonic is the villain. With Porker hostage, Robotnik trades for the refrigerated Chaos Emeralds, then admits a tooth-mounted beacon led Knuckles to the base. Their egg pod flees, Sonic cracks it onto the Floating Island, and Knuckles smashes free vowing Sonic will not stop him again.

    Reprinted in issue 148.

  2. Mutant League · Bring Me The Head of Coach Brikka, Part 5 #

Zalgor Prigg keeps Coach Brikka's head and admits he wants Brenda for himself, so K.T. briefly sides with the Midway Monsters to kick Grim's head through Prigg's fortress door. K.T. snatches the trophy back and dares Bones to a single winner-takes-all fixture covering the severed coach, the league cup and Brenda's wedding ring—fully intending to cheat with Prigg's robot players.

  3. Tails · Zonerunner & The Flock, Part 1 #

Sonic and Tails raid a Chemical Plant factory, dive into a transport tube under fire from Sol Furic and Tess Tube, and are split when a bullet hits the controls. Tails lands before Nutzan Bolt as the robot boasts to Robotnik of flooding neighbouring Zones with Mega Mack; asking after Sonic earns Tails a rant about "the S-word" and a looming threat.

    Reprinted in issue 159.

  4. Decap Attack · Who Killed Chuck? Part 2 #

Detective Case is hunting a vanished double-glazing salesman whose last stop was the castle. The Professor demands a confession; Igor admits he brained the salesman with a shovel rather than dig in the rain—and Chuck realises that corpse became him, so Igor is his murderer.

Script: Nigel Kitching · Art: Nigel Kitching · Letters: Steve Potter
