Sonic visits the Floating Island to ask Porker Lewis about the faulty Kintobor Computer, but a pair of intruders breach the forcefield. Sonic and Knuckles tackle the resulting Badnik while Grimer and Nack use the distraction to escape towards the tiny world of Shanazar.

Super Sonic · Return of the Nightmare, Part 3 #
Ebony holds Super Sonic with the Globe of Enrokk and asks Pyjamas to use a Mind Link to remove his latest memories. The attempt restores Super's pacifist nature without stopping Sonic's pursuit, and Ebony's magic sends the tracking hedgehog off the trail.

Imprisoned Robotnik intimidates Porker until Knuckles bursts through the floor to free him, still sure Sonic is the villain. With Porker hostage, Robotnik trades for the refrigerated Chaos Emeralds, then admits a tooth-mounted beacon led Knuckles to the base. Their egg pod flees, Sonic cracks it onto the Floating Island, and Knuckles smashes free vowing Sonic will not stop him again.
