Original stories

  1. Sonic the Hedgehog · Shanazar #

A Transportation Belt shrinks Sonic and carries him into Shanazar, where he is hunting Grimer and Nack. The locals dismiss his explanation, while a clash with the Imperial Guards and the genie-caller Fajar lands all three fugitives in the palace dungeons. The Grand Vizier then reveals an astonishing identity: Doctor Kintobor.

Script: Nigel Kitching · Art: Richard Elson · Letters: Ellie de Ville

  2. Tails · Forbidden Island #

The Kintobor Computer locates the main D.R.A.T. headquarters, but Tails, Johnny and Shortfuse are forced to retreat when its field disables both the Cybernik's armour and Tails's plane. Tails returns with Charmy, reaches the control room during the fight and reverses the polarity, stripping D.R.A.T.'s troops of their battle armour and ending their plans.

Script: Lew Stringer · Art: Andy Pritchett · Letters: Tom Frame

Reprinted stories

  1. Sonic the Hedgehog · Power of the Chaos Emeralds, Part 2 #

Knuckles traps Sonic in giant stone hands and flees with Robotnik to the Temple of Chaos, but Sonic was only feigning captivity to follow. Robotnik merges twelve Emeralds back into six, betrays Knuckles and turns Tails to glass; Knuckles then reveals he kept the Grey Emerald all along, drains Robotnik's power and sends him home. He declines Sonic's Freedom Fighter invite, preferring to wait alone for his people among the stars.
