Sonic the Comic #69
19 January 1996
Issue overview
The Brotherhood changes Mobius's past and turns it into Planet Metallix. Sonic, Porker and Chaotix escape through the Omni-Viewer, carrying the problem into a history that no longer matches the world they knew.
Original stories
Sonic the Hedgehog · The Return of Chaotix, Part 3 #
With Mobius remade as Planet Metallix, Sonic, Porker and Chaotix dive into Omni under Code 'D' while Emperor Metallix declines to chase them. On the surface they meet only industrial horror and hunting Metallixes until Vector pulls Sonic back from a hopeless stand, and Charmy's wrong turn ends at a sewer hatch. A cowled rescuer and Rob's camera lure the robots onto a hologram trap that detonates; deeper underground the cowl drops, and Doctor Ovi Kintobor - the man who became Robotnik - greets Sonic as if from the grave.

Decap Attack · The Headless Snowmen #
Igor's Transylvanian Times reports snowman heads vanishing while Head's drink spree after his film flop sits buried on page seven. Chuck turns up with a snow head that Igor melts by stoking the fire, then begs to partner with Head again for the old days of hurling and safe neighbourhood snowmen. Head briefly brightens, then slams the door in Chuck's face the moment he asks.

Knuckles · The Graveyard, Part 1 #
Poncho-clad Knuckles treks through a sandstorm toward the Kohenyu Graveyard, the one Floating Island site he has never visited, hoping to claim a raw Emerald for the Master Emerald power now held in a Guardian robot's head. Climbing the chasm when winds forbid a glide, a rockfall strips his gas mask and a Poison Dryalid douses him. Through the haze the Spirit of the Herd brands him murderer, and ancient Styracosaurus bones heave from the sand as the Herd rises.
Script: Nigel Kitching · Art: Nigel Dobbyn · Letters: Elitta Fell
Reprinted in issue 189.
Sonic's World · Brute Force, Part 1 #
Commander Brutus dawns on the River City Zone, splits captives between his own shuttle and Metropolis Badniks, and earns Robotnik's praise for sharing the dictator's brainwaves - praise Brutus answers with a pointed vow to flatten every rival in reach. Later he collects portable brain scanners from Grimer, stuns the scientist, and copies Grimer's patterns so he can raise Badniks loyal only to himself.
