Grimer's Predicto Trooper, stuffed with Freedom Fighter dossiers, finds Sonic's team on the Floating Island and floors them one by one, even yanking Knuckles from underground. Cornered, Sonic simply gives up—an impossible move that overloads Predicto into blowing itself apart, proving the hedgehog never meant to quit.

Kid Chameleon · Back to Unreality! Part 1 #
Casey ducks gym for arcade games until Suzi begs him to find Brad, still lost in Wildside. Back inside, the Voice greets him as Chameleon; giant rats force a Skycutter change in a derelict Underground station, yet a wolfman, vampire, lizardman and fish-beast still bar the only telepad.

Knuckles · Total Chaotix, Part 2 #
Two Metallixes leave the supposedly empty Egg Fortress on a capture run while Chaotix pile into Knuckles—Mighty, Charmy, Espio, Nack and Vector all fail to pin him. Omni verifies Knuckles did turn on Robotnik, then Charmy spots dark shapes on Omni's screen: twin Metallixes inside his private workspace.

Sparkster · Last of the Rocket Knights, Part 2 #
Sparkster slips into Princess Shelly's chamber in Castle Zebulan; his enchanted armour lifts Gedol's corruption until he steps away and she summons the guards. Fighting clear, he meets the hideous King Gedol—announced by Shelly herself as her future husband.
