Tikal sends Sonic into the ancient past, where he witnesses an echidna army confront a Drakon. Prisoner of War! links the immediate Chaos threat to the older history of the Emeralds.

    Sonic helps the ancient echidnas capture a Drakon Prosecutor. Pochacamac then shows him the stolen Chaos Emeralds, drawing Sonic closer to the origins of the conflict.

  1. Knuckles · Total Chaotix, Part 2 #

    Two Metallixes leave the supposedly empty Egg Fortress on a capture run while Chaotix pile into Knuckles—Mighty, Charmy, Espio, Nack and Vector all fail to pin him. Omni verifies Knuckles did turn on Robotnik, then Charmy spots dark shapes on Omni's screen: twin Metallixes inside his private workspace.

  2. Tails · Shock Tactics! #

    Max Gamble bleats that Tails is too slow clearing Casino Night's Badniks, so sparks-and-wires chimps Mark and Sparks kit the fox in scrap shells to trail a pack home. The disguise sheds mid-lair; Tails leads the chase between two pylons and Sparks throws the switch, frying the lot. Locals shout Gamble down when he still moans about lost profit, and Tails leaves with the lizard swearing payback.

    First appeared in issue 81.

  3. Sonic the Hedgehog · The Brotherhood of Metallix, Part 1 #

    In the Metropolis Zone the Freedom Fighters meet the absurd Mister Blobnik, whose pipe and umbrella look a joke until a bubble trap whisks Sonic away. Meanwhile a Metallix drags Grimer through a red Main Viewer into the Special Zone, where the Emperor demands help seizing the Miracle Planet's power. At the Citadel, Robotnik frees Sonic and proposes an uneasy alliance against the Brotherhood.

    First appeared in issue 59.
