Under a fragile truce with Robotnik, Sonic, Amy, Porker and Johnny climb the orbital chain to the Miracle Planet to stop the Brotherhood of Metallix. In the caves a Metallix nearly finishes Johnny before Amy puts a bolt through its vulnerable neck and Sonic vows a fresh plan. Elsewhere the Emperor Metallix finishes charging the Alpha Device and drives it into the soil, where metal tendrils begin to spread.

Sonic's World · The Seven Badniks, Part 3 #
Cam and Bert of B.A.R.F. flee Green Hill with their battered Badniks after Palmtree Panic models seize the Zone, but a stop on the Miracle Planet is cut short when they find the Freedom Fighters holidaying there. Back on Mobius they cannot persuade the invaders to leave, even after Bert's hammer makes an example of one. Cam instead rebuilds the wrecked Green Hill machines into seven specialised Badniks ready to reclaim the Zone.
