Sonic the Comic #64

Issue overview
Brutus takes his own Trooper platoon to Pleasant Zone to attack Sonic, Amy and Johnny without waiting for Robotnik's instructions. His independence makes Robotnik's copied mind a rival as well as a weapon.
Original stories
Sonic the Hedgehog · Project Brutus, Part 2 #
Sonic's speed pulls Amy and Johnny clear of Brutus's opening volley in the Pleasant Zone; they quickly realise the Commander thinks and speaks like Robotnik himself. Brutus tracks their heat trail while, at the Citadel, Robotnik fumes that his new lieutenant left without orders. After Brutus shrugs off a collapsing building, a Trooper seizes Amy and Sonic surrenders; a piercing summons forces Brutus to report that he has done what Robotnik never could and captured the outlaws for execution, only for Robotnik to demand they be kept alive.

Ecco the Dolphin · Return of Ecco the Dolphin, Part 5 #
With Earth's sea life gathered on the Vortex world, Ecco distracts the gate in its own language with a false alarm about a food-stock enemy, then overloads its sensors with powered sonar. The Asterite's tractor beam draws the creatures home through the portal, and Ecco follows intending to shatter the gate as he passes. The Vortex fades too soon, leaving him stranded on the alien planet.
Script: Alan McKenzie · Art: Steve White · Letters: Tom Frame
Knuckles and Tails · The Revenge of Trogg, Part 6 #
On the Dimension Bridge Knuckles duels the furious Trogg and punches him through the ropes into non-existent space, then the party returns to the Nameless Zone to a heroes' welcome from Shaman Warpull and a restored Errol Blackthorn. Trogg claws his way back for revenge, only to collapse as the Dark One's lingering enchantment finally wears off and he becomes Shirob, the third Enchanter King, once more. With all three Kings restored, Knuckles and Tails depart while Morain is still puzzled by the name Knuckles let slip.

Sonic's World · Cybernik Strikes Back, Part 2 #
Tekno takes Shortfuse to her hidden workshop, agrees to build his bomb, and upgrades his Megatal armour with fresh gloves, boots and shoulder pads. Three days later they strike the Chemical Plant Zone: Shortfuse clears the Balkiry defenders while Tekno plants the charge. Before they can flee, Metamorphia attacks in the shape of a hulking armoured warrior, with the plant set to explode in minutes.
