Original stories
Sonic the Hedgehog · The Return of Chaotix, Part 6 #
At the Citadel, Robotnik scoffs until Grimer admits he designed the Metallixes and Robotnik only fitted the self-destruct - which Robotnik never pressed, hoping the robots would finish Sonic first. A sky-darkening swarm then punches through the walls; amid the brawl Emperor Metallix seizes the remote and nearly crushes it before Sonic snatches the button and drops every Metallix at once. After the heroes leave, Grimer unveils blueprints for a Knuckles Metallix.
Script: Nigel Kitching · Art: Richard Elson · Letters: Ellie de Ville
Reprinted in issue 194.
Knuckles · The Graveyard, Part 4 #
Knuckles threatens the Soul Crystal unless the Spirit calls off the skeletons; the Spirit answers with another charge, and Knuckles pulverises bone yet still cannot raise the finishing blow. He names himself the last trace of his own people, and the surprised Spirit, spared, grants one Raw Emerald and safe passage from the valley. Departing, Knuckles pictures the herd at peace and hopes returning echidnas will have learned.
Script: Nigel Kitching · Art: Nigel Dobbyn · Letters: Elitta Fell
Reprinted in issue 192.
Extra Sonic Story · Odour Zone #
Sonic and Tails answer a trail of forest wreckage that leads into the Odour Zone, where French-accented skunks of the Underground Movement report their giant leader Marcel Skunk was seized sabotaging Robotnik's lab and rebuilt as Savage Skunk. A net trap drops Sonic into the Badnik's path; he dodges the laser cannon, takes a long run-up and Spin-Attacks the head clean off. Freed Marcel thanks him as Robotnik flees rather than face two Freedom Fighters.
Script: Mark Millar · Art: Mike Hadley · Letters: Tom Frame
Sonic's World · Brute Force, Part 4 #
Armed with Johnny's secrets - even the Emerald Hill Folk's Floating Island refuge - Brutus boasts he will eclipse Robotnik, who already suspects his commander's silence. Mid-briefing the scanner's side-effect hits: Johnny's personality surges, and Brutus blasts his own Troopers as "bucket-headed creeps" before wiping the rabbit's thoughts and crushing the device. Johnny escapes; memory of the hideout gone, Brutus retreats to the Misery Zone to grow Badniks until Robotnik is only a memory.
Script: Lew Stringer · Art: Carl Flint · Colour: Dondie Cox · Letters: Steve Potter
