Original stories
Sonic the Hedgehog · Voice of the People #
Robotnik seethes in Citadel Robotnik until Sonic rings his private video-link, crowing over Death Egg and Metallix flop after flop and warning the dictator his days are numbered. Sector Alpha 34 then erupts - crowds brick and paint a giant Robotnik statue until SBS Troopers move in, only for Sonic and Tails to scatter them while a protestor blows the monument's feet and topples it cold. Grimer chirps that a replacement will stand within the week; Robotnik cares solely that his subjects dared to strike, and vows they will soon tremble at his name.

Knuckles · The Ghost Ship, Part 4 #
In Scourge Bay, Knuckles finds Plunder's chest really does hold Floating Island papers - yet instead of teleporting home he demands they return and free the Ghost Ship slaves. Plunder's pirates pile on; Knuckles and Simpson flatten them, then Plunder and Knuckles smash through a window straight into Pirate Queen Zorabel, who wants the stolen Idol gone before Tantaror come hunting. The Idol flares of its own accord and dumps them - cliff chunk and all - into a bizarre realm beneath a vast red elephant-headed being.

Reprinted in issue 169.
Shining Force · The Curse of Zeon, Part 5 #
Bowie lies dying from Kadavaar's 'exploding wand' until Max's ghost rises from the mithril sword, names the weapon a pistol and heals him so he can finally lift the blade. Feigning defeat, Bowie hears the Baron's plan - an ancient 'nuclear explosion' to crack Granseal's seal on Zeon - then shatters Kadavaar's steel and spares him, because the Shining Force do not kill. On Granseal, Zeonites jam the tower doors and start a 'count-down' toward 'detonation'.
Script: Nigel Kitching · Art: Martin Griffiths · Colour: Gina Hart · Letters: Tom Frame
Sonic's World · Hidden Danger, Part 1 #
Tropical Jungle homes vanish under an unseen smash while Robotnik grins at Grimer's cloaking invention on the monitor. Sonic and Tails arrive, spot a spy camera and needle the dictator until he triggers the machine; something huge crashes toward them, loud yet invisible. Sonic guesses a cloaked robot, charges, and is floored - leaving Tails alone against whatever hit him.
