Issue overview
A sudden fog forces Sonic and Tails to land the Tornado in an unfamiliar landscape. The Detour turns a routine flight across Mobius into an encounter with a place neither expected to visit.
Original stories
Sonic the Hedgehog · The Detour #
Sonic and Tails fly the Tornado into a sudden fog and land in a strange blue-sky landscape that feels nothing like Mobius. Every danger Tails mentions — a maze, a Minotaur, Yetis — appears on cue, until Sonic realises someone is listening and calls the culprit out. A glowing Tantaror child has been conjuring the monsters to keep them as pets; his father arrives, scolds him as a very naughty boy, and packs the pair back home. Sonic makes Tails swear secrecy — being wanted as a pet would ruin his image.

Tails · Fall of the Leaf, Part 1 #
In the wealthy Eldorado Zone, snobbish locals sneer when Tails asks about a chip shop, then scream for help when a Drill-bot bursts into Chez Pierre after their jewellery. He switches the machine off and refuses a diamond necklace — only to be scorned for lacking taste. A stolen tiara from Mrs Curly-Smythe's flat shows a flying thief who looks just like him; branded a burglar, he leaves to clear his name while a shadowy figure celebrates the frame-up.

Decap Attack · The Fearless Monster Hunters #
Colonel Boldwig-Smythe and his son Giles reach Transylvania hunting a two-headed monster and get hopelessly lost despite signs to Castle Frank N. Stein. At the Castle View Tea Shop, Igor sells Chuck and Head out for cash, but the Colonel dismisses them as obvious fakes and heads off after other quarry. A mountain wail they take for a banshee is only the Professor's hideous yodelling.
Script: Nigel Kitching, Richard Rayner · Art: Mick McMahon · Letters: Ellie de Ville
Sonic's World: Amy & Tekno · Spaced Out, Part 3 #
The Insectra ship lies crashed after Blurrgh fire; Dark Visor and Jello Wobbla nearly make peace, then agree to keep their ten-thousand-year war going on the planet's surface. Peaceful Kaamdaarn natives forbid fighting, and neither side's weapons will work in the planet's energy flow. Amy, Tekno and Shortfuse floor both armies unarmed; the troops quit the war and settle with the Kaamdaarn. Shortfuse stays hoping their calm energy can free him from his armour, while Amy and Tekno look for a way home.
