Sonic enters a seemingly peaceful Shanazar Zone and is seized by armed riders called the Knightmares. Their baron's territory gives the wandering hedgehog another local ruler and another reason to keep moving.

  1. Sonic the Hedgehog · Knightmares #

    Sonic and Amy are stranded on a small Shanazar world after the Ring of Eternity's homing device is wrecked, and agree to help the Knight's Baron deal with a supposedly gigantic black knight. Sonic's attack reveals that the monster is only armour packed with Kritturs, who are resisting the Baron's attempt to seize their land. Amy then fakes Sonic's death to frighten the Baron's knights away, but the pair remain stuck on the world with further adventures ahead.

  1. Sonic's World · Face from the Past, Part 1 #

    Grimer's brown hedgehog is meant to smash the Freedom Fighters from inside. Jungle Zone rescuees include 'Tonic', who claims brotherhood; Sonic says no, Amy objects, Tails pursues. A clawed arm and a call to Robotnik unmask Metamorphia.

    First appeared in issue 51.

  2. Tails · Zonerunner & The Flock, Part 2 #

    Sab the sheep yanks Tails clear of Nutzan Bolt, dubs him a Zonerunner, and outfits him with a longcoat and microputer before leading him to the Flock's underground Runs. They confirm Bolt's Mega Mack flood plan and robots dismantling the barriers; despite Tails insisting Sonic is the real hero, the Flock hauls him along to stop it.

    First appeared in issue 36.

  3. Sonic the Hedgehog · The Hive, Part 1 #

    Sleepless in Chaotix's satellite, Sonic spots soldier bees bundling Charmy onto a golden skiff and nearly looks away - then tags along rather than abandon the little pest. The Hive's workers refine Special Zone scrap into solid gold; the Queen turns out to be Charmy's mum, and the pest is a prince who begs Sonic not to tell the Crew. She orders him home to royal duty just as a scout howls that Vesper's wasps have returned.
