Original stories
Sonic the Hedgehog · Count Down to Disaster, Part 2 #
Metallix flees Hidden Palace with the Master Emerald, dares Sonic and Knuckles to follow, and teleports them into Sky Sanctuary. Emerald-charged, he floors Knuckles and outpaces Sonic until he must recharge — Sonic reaches the gem first, becomes Super Sonic, and tears the robot apart. On Death Egg II, Grimer reports Metallix lost, yet the Emerald already sits on the teleporter; Knuckles wakes to Super Sonic's rage as worse news looms.

Shinobi · Power Of The Elements, Part 4 #
Musashi and the Roofworlders clash with the Four Elements and Mitsugi's Yakuza across the rooftops. The ex-Neo Zeed ninja Elements seize the upper hand until Kotomi-sensei wounds Fire and tips the melee. Musashi finally hurls Earth down to the street, buying the Roofworlders a bloodied breathing space.

Tails in · Zonerunner & The Big Freeze, Part 3 #
Tails talks Sab out of executing a repentant Sol; she explains the Flock survived via a secret tunnel while she programmed the floater drone, the blast flinging her after them. On the frozen surface Nutzan Bolt now rules an ice castle in a body of living ice that shrugs off Sab and Sol's bullets and pins Tails to the wall. Revenge, it seems, is finally within the tin tyrant's grasp.
Script: Mark Eyles · Art: Roberto Corona, Brian Williamson · Letters: Steve Potter
Reprinted in issue 166.
Captain Plunder · Captain Plunder & His Sky Pirates, Part 4 #
Plunder and Simpson crawl out through Gulch's tunnel just as Filch's rescue party blunders in the opposite direction; Simpson's cartoon lightbulb lights the dark, then he swallows it to hide. The two groups pass unseen; headlines trumpet Plunder's escape while his crew, bar ghostly Filch, are captured in the botched raid. Back in Mystic Cave Zone, Plunder decides a new crew beats sharing treasure with the old one.
