Original stories

  1. Sonic the Hedgehog · Count Down to Disaster, Part 1 #

Death Egg II's repairs are finished; Robotnik only needs the Master Emerald's infinite energy and orders his newest Metallix to steal it, destroying Knuckles if he interferes. Sonic and Knuckles emerge via tunnels into Lava Reef's magma chamber directly beneath the Launch Base volcano where the Death Egg sits. EggRobos under Robotnik's eye-cameras swarm them until Knuckles floods the chamber with lava; seized by dread, he races for Hidden Palace.

Script: Nigel Kitching · Art: Richard Elson · Letters: Ellie de Ville

    Reprinted in issue 163.

  2. Shinobi · Power Of The Elements, Part 3 #

Joe Musashi finds uneasy sanctuary among the Roofworlders, yet Yakuza gunmen and the Four Elements are already on his trail. With Kotomi-sensei, Bunzo and Kinpachi beside him, he leaps back into the fight rather than hide. Rooftop blades and elemental fury turn the chase into open war above the city.

Script: Alan McKenzie · Art: Jon Haward · Letters: Tom Frame

  3. Tails in · Zonerunner & The Big Freeze, Part 2 #

At the ruined Flock base Sol Furic swears he did not plant the bomb — Nutzan Bolt slaughtered the Flock while tearing Chemical Plant apart for revenge, and the broken systems birthed the freeze. Underground in the Runs, locals blame Tails for their lost homes and force the pair to flee into Sol's flat, where he confesses he once betrayed Sab for Nutzan's false promises. Then Sab kicks the door in, very much alive, and the reunion is anything but gentle.

Script: Mark Eyles · Art: Roberto Corona, Brian Williamson · Letters: Steve Potter

    Reprinted in issue 165.

  4. Captain Plunder · Captain Plunder & His Sky Pirates, Part 3 #

Filch and the Sky Pirates, half-unsure which captain they are rescuing, storm Highview after reading the Mobian Times and flatten the Trooper guards. Inside, Plunder and Simpson are already free of their chains; Simpson plucks a floating question mark from the air to pick the lock, then paints a black hole that swallows Mister Gullets. They enter Billy Gulch's twenty-year escape tunnel while Plunder insists they will claim they fought dozens of guards.

Script: Nigel Kitching · Art: Nigel Kitching · Letters: Elitta Fell

    Reprinted in issue 199.
