Sonic the Comic #107
25 June–8 July 1997
Issue overview
After saving a stranger from Badniks, Sonic tells the legend of Bravehog, a hero from Mobius's distant past. The story steps outside the present-day resistance to connect Sonic's actions with an older idea of courage.
Original stories
Sonic the Hedgehog · Bravehog #
After rescuing a hooded stranger from Badniks, Sonic recounts the six-hundred-year-old legend of Bravehog, his ancestor who urged Mobius's divided tribes to stand together against King Leer. Captured while defending the Fox Tribe, Bravehog shamed Leer into revealing himself as a bully; the tribes united and drove the hyenas back. The stranger drops his hood — a hyena ashamed of that bloodline. Sonic tells him ancestors are not his fault, then jokes that Bravehog held the coolest-hedgehog crown only until he arrived.

Captain Plunder · Captain Plunder and the Spice Maidens, Part 5 #
Akotek's statue curses whoever broke the seal — Plunder — with misfortune and calamity, then freezes again. Filch spells out Zorabel's trick: she brought him along precisely so he would take the curse. Loading the treasure, Plunder already trips, wears an urn and is buried under falling axes. Zorabel tows him in a rowboat for the ship's luck; he feels safe at last — until a vast white shark rises behind him.

Decap Attack · Caught by the Prefects, Part 1 #
On a stormy night Chuck and Head haul a satellite dish onto the castle roof while the Professor fiddles with the set downstairs. Lightning strikes; the television explodes and the Prof regresses into a thumb-sucking schoolboy. At hospital the others settle in for the Cup Final until he, mistaking them for bullying prefects, wrecks the set and leaps from a window — safely into a bin on the ground floor.

Double Sonic · Zero Zone, Part 2 #
Citizen Seven's tour of Perfection's dull routine ends when he asks to meet Citizen One — proof the brainwashing never took. Sonic sheds the uniform, learns a force field rings the Zone, and answers its Spin Attack defence with a Blast Attack that makes the whole place shimmer: it is a solid-light hologram run by a lonely computer Robotnik abandoned. Advised to build somewhere people would choose, Citizen One remakes it as a packed amusement park, and Sonic finally gets a real chilli dog.
