1. Sonic the Hedgehog · Eve of Destruction #

   New Year's Eve turns ugly when Doctor Bob Bobble's attempt to improve his physique with a Delta Ray Machine creates the purple, muscle-bound Bulk. Sonic and the Chaotix struggle as the monster grows too powerful to hurt, while Vector races back to repair the machine. The reversal restores Bobble, and Sonic destroys the apparatus before steering the chastened scientist towards more useful work.

   First appeared in issue 94.

2. Tails + Knuckles · New Year Twister #

   Tails flies the Tornado to the Ice Cap Zone to wish Knuckles a Happy New Year, only for an avalanche to bury the plane and a tornado to chase them through Mushroom Hill. Knuckles digs and anchors them both — then a shockwave reveals Sonic as the culprit, testing whether the echidna still has what it takes against Robotnik. Knuckles promises he will be there, and the trio toast Hedgehog-manay.

   First appeared in issue 120.

3. Captain Plunder · Captain Plunder & His Sky Pirates, Part 1 #

   Aboard the luxury airship Robotnicus, Robotnik's party for Mobius's villains is crashed by Captain Plunder and the Sky Pirates. Confident his vault needs distant keys, Robotnik leads them there — until poltergeist Filch walks through the door and opens it from inside. The crew hauls the tax treasure clear before Troopers arrive, then realises they left Plunder behind and he is already captured.

   First appeared in issue 47.

4. Amy in · Snow Business #

   On New Year's Day in the Ice Cap Zone, Amy's mistletoe fails to catch Sonic, who races off with Johnny while she sulks in the snow. Reaching for another sprig, she triggers a buried Snownik that freezes her crossbow and chases her with ice blasts until she goads it into an ice-slide over a cliff. When Sonic rushes back to help, she springs the mistletoe kiss and murmurs that next year will be sneakier still.

   First appeared in issue 68.

5. Sonic's World · Prologue: Once Upon a Planet... #

   The Kintobor Computer introduces Mobius, Robotnik's conquest and the history behind Sonic's current battles. It also connects the ongoing Metallix adventure with the wider world of the comic.
